January 2018 – present Part-time writing, content publishing and web editing contract with Concordia University Communications Services.

June 2017 – January 2018 Communications director at Visual Schedule Builder, a student scheduling software company. A part-time position in a growing tech start-up. Responsible for marketing, public relations, client relations, administration and HR. Clients are leading North American higher education institutions and include McGill, Ryerson, Texas Tech and the University of Regina.

September 2016 – May 2017 Writing tutor for undergraduate journalism students at Concordia University. One-on-one sessions to improve writing style, structure and grammar.

May 2016 Volunteer for Boat Refugee Foundation at Elliniko refugee camp in Athens. Responsible for food distribution for over 4000 Afghan refugees. Ran daily activities for youngest and most vulnerable children in the camp.

April 2016 Copywriter for start-up smartphone app Route1.co in the weeks leading to launch.

May 2013 –  April 2016 Account manager at London’s leading PR agency for cultural events, publishers, and the arts, Midas Public Relations. I joined the agency as a graduate trainee and was promoted to account manager within two years. Clients included: Landscape Photographer of the Year, London Book Fair, the British Wildlife Photography Awards, Sharjah International Book Fair, Penguin Random House, English Heritage Publishing, AA Publishing, Charlie Waite, The Churches Conservation Trust and The Booksellers Association of the UK.

April 2013 Marketing assistant at Publishing Technology (now Ingenta). A one month contract over the busy period of London Book Fair.

January – April 2013 Administrative and marketing assistant at Blake Friedmann Literary, Film & TV Agency.
